Losing all your car keys can be stressful, but with the Lonsdor K518 Pro key programmer, you can get back on the road quickly. Follow this step-by-step guide to program a new smart key for your 2016 Toyota RAV4 when all keys are lost.


Tools Needed:


✔ K518 Pro Key Programmer

✔ OBD Cable

✔ Simu-antenna


Step-by-Step Process:


1.Connect the K518 Pro

Plug the OBD cable into your vehicle’s port.

Power on the K518 Pro and ensure it has an internet connection.


2.Convert Smart Key

Select Special Functions > Key Settings > LT20 Smart Key > Convert Smart Key Type

Place the Lonsdor LT20 smart key in the device’s card slot.

Select Key Type


Select “Generate 8A”


Select key type


Select PKE frequency


Set the key button according to the key position of the original car key

3.Backup EEPROM Data


Select Immo&Remote-> Toyota-> Select from type-> All smart key lost-> Type 1 (-2016)-> 8A (P4 88 A8_39)-> Backup EEPROM Data


Enter filename to save the data

4.Generate emergency key


Select Generate emergency key (PRO Antenna)


Connect the simu-antenna and place the antenna’s top in the card slot of Lonsdor K518 Pro


Select the EEPROM data file just saved


Confirm the current EEPROM info.

5.Add smart key

Make sure the smart key battery is full charge.


Hold a generated emulator key or workable key closer to ignition switch, and tap it until dashboard lights up


Current key count: 1


Hold the registered key’s back close to Start button, when buzzer beeps once, take the key away from the button


Within 30 sec to put back of the key (to be registered) close to car start button, when buzzer beeps twice, take the key away from the button


Operation completed!


The registered keys is 2 now.


Finally, turn ignition off, check if the key works normally.



Notes:


Internet connection required for programming.


Back up original key data if possible.


If any step fails, stop and restart the process.
