How to use OBDSTAR VW4-AKL Cable to read IMMO data?

How to use OBDSTAR VW4-AKL Cable to read IMMO data for VW IV NEC+24C32 and NEC+24C64 dashboard?

Use OBDSTAR VW4-AKL Cable to work with OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus on Bench. No removing IC! No soldering PCB, even when all keys are lost. It is also compatible with X300 Pro4 and X300 Classic G3.

Tools Required:

OBDSTAR VW4-AKL Cable and compatible software (e.g., OBDSTAR X300 DP or similar). The VW4-AKL cable consists of DC power connector, probe, power switch and dashboard plug.

With this dedicated cable, there’s no need removing IC, soldering PCB and making server data. And we can read IMMO data by BENCH.

Make sure the connection is complete, and perform the function below.

1.Read NEC+24C32 dashboard EEPROM and IMMO data

Select the latest version, and then select [SKODA]-[4 Generation CAN Meter]-[VDO NEC+24C32] in order

First, read EEPROM to backup data

Tap [Guide] to check the appearance and locate the probe point

Zoom in on the partial image to find the exact point

Power off, place the probe on the point, then turn on the power

Wait for 6-7 seconds until the dashboard emits a sound, then tap [Enter] to confirm

Backup EEPROM data successfully

Next, read IMMO data

Repeat the same steps:

Power off, place the probe on the point, then turn on the power, wait for the sound and then remove the probe

Read IMMO data successfully

2.Read NEC+24C64 dashboard

Tap [Esc] and reconnect the cable. Then reselect the appropriate menu according to the dashboard type.

Follow the method same as NEC+24C32 dashboard to read EEPROM data and IMMO data

Wait a moment until the process is complete.
