How to solve the problem of Lonsdor K518 Pro only having OBDII function?
If your Lonsdor K518 Pro only had an “OBDII” option under “Immo & Remote” function, you can refer to the following methods to find the cause and solve it from both hardware and software aspects.
Software:
Check software updates:
Confirm network connection: Ensure that the device is connected to a stable and reliable network. If using Wi Fi, check the signal strength and stability; If using mobile data, ensure that the data network is normal and the traffic is sufficient.
Try updating again: Enter the software update interface of the device and use the "one click upgrade" function to update the software again. If there have been issues such as "authorization update failed, unable to connect to the network" before, pay attention to whether there are similar errors during the update in order to solve them accordingly.
Hardware:
Perform OBD cable self-test:
Operation steps: Select "OBDII Function" ->"OBDII Upgrade" ->"OBDII Upgrade" on the device. Before operation, insert the OBD cable into the K518 Pro, but do not connect the other end of the cable to any device. This operation can detect OBDII information and update the program.
Result judgment: If the OBD cable is not detected, it may be damaged and the dealer needs to be contacted to replace the cable or purchase a new OBDII cable suitable for K518 Pro.
Perform hardware self-test:
Connect power supply and cable: Connect the device to a 12V power supply and ensure that the OBD cable is well connected to the device.
Operation steps: Select the "OBDII hardware self-test" function on the device to perform hardware testing.
