How to enable “Add Key” function for BMW with G-Chassis ?

BMW's G-Chassis vehicles (e.g., G20 3 Series, G30 5 Series, G05 X5) feature advanced electronic systems, including sophisticated key programming protocols. Adding a new key to these models requires specialized tools and software due to enhanced security measures. 

Autel MaxiIM IM508, IM608, and Otofix IM1 & IM2 with Autel G-Box/G-Box2/G-Box3 programming adapter can enable “Add Key” functionality for BMW vehicles with G-Chassis and later F-Chassis models. 

To enable“Add Key” function, Autel BMW G License is required. Follow the guide below to purchase the license on Autel/Otofix tablet.

For example: Autel MaxiIM tablet

Select "MaxiIM"

 Select "IMMO", then accept the disclaimer

Select "BMW" >> "System selection"

Select "Immobilizer" 

>> BDC2 immobilizer>> Programming operation>> ECU preprocessing

In the Purchase page, tick the second option “BMW Activation of Add Key Function-BDC02”, and then click “OK”

Select the payment method: Credit card or Paypal

For example: select credit card

Input the email, card info., cardholder name, country or region

You will receive a confirm message, follow the on-screen prompt to enter the code to continue.

Then click “Pay” and wait the payment is successful.

After that, the ECU preprocessing success.
